King King
With an almost instant reputation which spread like wildfire through the blues scene and a diary fit to burst, you’d be forgiven for thinking that King King might have wanted a bit of a rest. You’d be wrong. Apparently imbued with sufficient energy to power a small town, the band also found time to get into the studio, the result being their debut EP ‘Broken Heal’. Produced alongside the team behind the Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs and the Editors, the EP instantly received a gleaming review from Blues Matters Magazine, including remarks on it’s “emotive lyrics” and “stirring guitar work”.

"The best boogie player I've seen for a long time...I saw probably the best - and I mean the best - demonstration of boogie woogie piano playing. Henri launched into Death Ray Boogie, which had the crowd mesmerised at his dexterity and speed. Absolutely amazing talent" - Mad Rat Magazine
"Henri Herbert blew the socks off all and sundry with his high energy, rolling piano style" - UK Boogie Woogie Club
Armed with mind-blowing levels of energy and possibly the fastest hands in the land, Henri Herbert is a piano-playing phenomenon. Previously a regular at the Running Horse in Nottingham, he’s become one of the UK’s most exciting boogie woogie specialists and has shared the stage with the likes of Dr Feelgood, Stan Webb, the Ian Siegal Band, Ainsley Lister and Glen Tilbrook. He’s also well-known for his partnership with singer-guitarist and harmonica player Colin Staples.
For this Live at Lunch performance he’ll be flexing his fingers across the whole range of deep blues and boogie woogie, from Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry and Little Richard to Meade Lux Lewis and Pete Johnson.
If ever you needed a pick me up after a hard morning in the office, then this event is it. Fire extinguishers will be ready in case Henri sets the place on fire!

"The Cadillac Kings are experienced, talented and very tight. They set out to give the audience as much fun as they obviously have on stage, and they succeed admirably. A six-piece touring band is a bit of a luxury in this trimmed-down age, but to see one that plays with the drive, finesse and sheer exuberance that these guys do, is a real pleasure, not to mention the sartorial elegance on show!"
