Horns, Philip Walker, Paul Rishell cemented the gathering respect. Kevin visited the USA, playing in North Carolina, New York and Massachusetts winning many plaudits for his song writing.
Best known for his work as singer and writer with British Blues progressives OUT OF THE BLUE, Kevin has formed a new grittier outfit ….. TIPPING POINT
OUT OF THE BLUE were a potent force in the Bluesiverse during the 90’s and early 00’s with two acclaimed albums and over 2000 gigs in the UK and Europe. At this time Kevin was hailed as one of the best writers on the scene, winning Best Blues Song two years running. OOTB had two acclaimed albums on the Armadillo label ‘SHADOWPLAY’ and ‘BLUES IN A BOTTLE’.
Several Paul Jones BBC Sessions, and countless European gigs with Blues Stars such as Junior Wells, Robert Cray, Otis Rush, Van Morrison, The Memphis
Although still doing the occasional reunion gig, OUT OF THE BLUE bowed out in 2004 and Kevin became producer for UK blues label Armadillo Records, working with artists Larry Johnson and in Texas with Eugene ‘Hideaway’ Bridges and John Mayall guitarist Rocky Athas. He took time out to write and think about the next step……finally getting the TIPPING POINT.
At the moment Kevin’s music is not only available as a band, but also as a hard hitting duo featuring Dom and Kevin …with new songs and both new and familiar faces the Kevin is set to be once again a regular face on the European scene and…..still with a lot to say…. I guess we all get to the TIPPING POINT sooner or later NOW AVAILABLE FOR BOOKINGS.
