Son Henry
Boundless energy and enthusiasm, an explosive front man a great songwriter and an endless repertoire are what best describe the Son Henry Band. Son has been called a virtuoso on the Guitar and Blues Harp and an electrifying performer but it is his Lap Steel playing that earned him the title of "Legendary Guitarist".
Big Mama’s Door - "What strikes me is not just that they are consummate musicians. They are consummate musicians who have selected music which they love. More; they have selected music which they love and clearly enjoy performing. And this is what defines this album. There is a sheer exuberance in the playing which underpins the whole project" - Blues Show Bob
King King - With an almost instant reputation which spread like wildfire through the blues scene and a diary fit to burst, you’d be forgiven for thinking that King King might have wanted a bit of a rest. You’d be wrong. Apparently imbued with sufficient energy to power a small town, the band also found time to get into the studio, the result being their debut EP ‘Broken Heal’.
Family Style
A real family band coming from a small town near Milano (Italy) called Arluno
Whether performing distinctive and thoughtfully original material or sensitively interpreting the work of others, Family Style's shows have been hailed as joyous celebrations played with outright swagger and confidence.
Kevin Thorpe's Tipping Point
Best known for his work as singer and writer with British Blues progressives Out Of The Blue, Kevin has formed a new grittier outfit .. TIPPING POINT
With their debut album out soon, this is a chance for a sneak preview. Currently touring as well as working on the new album this is a band that you will certainly want to seek out and hear more of.
The Mustangs
"Performing a selection of blues tunes it’s easy to see why they were voted best band of the year in respected music magazine GigBase.Frontman Adam Norsworthy draws his charismatic voice from some dark corner of his soul, and presumably rips his dynamic guitar mayhem from the same scary place" - Blue Matters Website
Dave Arcari
SLIDE guitarist & songwriter Dave Arcari’s alt.blues sounds owe as much to trash country, punk and rockabilly as they do pre-war Delta blues and have been showcased via five internationally-acclaimed solo CD releases.
Sherman Robertson is already considered a young master of zydeco, hard-swinging Texas electric blues, R&B and swampy Louisiana blues. Robertson often surprises audiences with his ability to play R&B, zydeco and blues with a rock edge. "I use that driving, road-cooking type zydeco groove, and put blues on top of it," says Robertson. It's basically rhythm and feel."
Krissy Matthews
"An innovative songwriter, Krissy paid tribute to the Blues legends with his self-penned songs along with some clever arrangements of classic covers. A mature young man of 16 he loses himself in his music and plays the guitar with confidence." - Tony Winfield & Sue Hickling, Blues Matters 2008.
Sean Webster
Excellent both solo and together with his band we think this quote, says it all.
“Sean is a new legend in the making. He has rich powerful vocals and searing guitar licks. Like so many, he has been working hard for years but these are Sean Webster’s years, and he is in his ascendancy.”
King Rollo
Rollo's live repertoire is wide and far-reaching, from the wistful and philosophical, which might be compared to Leonard Cohen, to hard biting, down-and-dirty blues progressions one could associate with such legends as Howling Wolf.
Soulful vocals match Rollo's dynamic guitar playing which features an array of finger-picking styles.
Paul Cowley
Paul is steeped in the raw acoustic Blues of Mississippi John Hurt, Big Bill Broonzy and Robert Johnson but the big surprise is the seamless way that his own songs fit in with the Delta originals.
Paul is very much in demand both as a solo artist and with his acoustic band The TT's.
