The best of the Blues, old and new, American and British and include regular features such as the Ladies section.
My name is Stuart Preston and I present a weekly Blues show on Boundary Sound, the new local radio station for Newark, each Thursday from 9.00 - 11.00pm. The frequency is 102.6FM but reception is limited to around 8 -10 miles of Newark. However, it is possible to listen on-line if you log on to the web-site at - boundarysound.co.uk
if any local bands want to send me CDs, I will gladly feature them on the show and mention any gigs they have
The show airs between 8pm and 10pm every Sunday night, with a strong emphasis on new releases from around the world, less well-known artists from the UK and Essex in particular and on promoting live blues in the UK. However, Tim also regularly dips into his huge personal collection of blues music from the past 80-odd years, so expect to hear a good few classic sides, too!
Tim says the one thing of which he is proudest with "The Blues Is Back" - and the thing which sets it apart from just about every other UK blues radio show (including Paul Jones' show on Radio 2) - is that it regularly features bands playing LIVE on air
